Happy Valentine's Day!

It's a VERY cold Valentine's Day in Kansas this year! That is one brisk wind out there!

I sent Connor off to daycare this morning with Valentine's for all his classmates. This year he opted for Cars cards with temporary tattoos. Very cool. We also made little goodie bags for them with a Valentine rubber ducky and Hershey's Kisses in each one. I thought there were 24 kids in his class, so I ordered two dozen ducks from Oriental Trading Company several weeks ago. Imagine my dismay when the class list came to me showing 26 kids, including Connor! I was one duck short! Luckily, we have a Paper Factory here in town, and they carried the exact same ducks. I picked up two yesterday.

I promised Connor a special Valentine's Day treat when I pick him up from daycare this afternoon. I've got to stop at the flower shop on my way there to get him a balloon. I bought a Schleich great white shark to tie on to it. I swear, we should buy stock in Schleich!

Before he left for work this morning, Roger gave me my gift. It's a two-tone 2 diamond pendant. Very pretty! He said he needed to give it to me before work so I wouldn't be irritated that he didn't have flowers delivered to my office. I'm terribly impressed that he thought to give me something. We're going to a bed and breakfast this weekend, so I wasn't sure I would get anything. At least until I happened to look at the credit card bill last Friday and saw the charge from our jewelry store!

What did I get him? I haven't given it to him yet, but it's a sexy little gift bag of things just for the two of us. I think he'll be pleasantly surprised!
