I am thrilled to report that I got so much scrapbooking done this weekend! Thanks to the MLK Cyber Crop hosted by Kathy M. over at Scrapbook Addict, I completed 7 layouts! Most of them were photos that I didn't know what to do with. I'm that much closer to being caught up. I even did a layout for the church scrapbook that I've been putting off. I'll add some more photos to my slide when I get home from work.
Jess and I have been planning our crop for January 20, and we are getting a great response! We have over 20 ladies signed up to crop all day on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it. We were hoping for 20 people, now we've got more than that! (We need to make a few more goodie bags! Not a bad problem to have!) It's going to be a good time. I'm hoping that it goes well enough that we can do it again in a few months.
Despite the predicted bad weather, I made the drive to Salina on Friday to attend a crop at Scrapbook Chic and teach a class. I had two ladies in my layout class Friday night. It was so much fun to see them use my layout design with their own photos. They both turned out great! After the class, I did three layouts! I got a call early Saturday morning from my mom telling me that the weather was getting bad south of Salina, so I decided to forgo the design team meeting at 11:00 and head on home. I actually had smooth driving nearly the entire way home.
Sunday morning we went to church but didn't stay for Sunday School. The noise of sleet on the metal roof of the church building was enough to scare us into heading home. We drove 30-40 mph all the way home. (Roger says I was still driving too fast!) The rest of the day was spent at home doing laundry, scrapbooking, and I even made TWO real meals yesterday! Spaghetti for lunch and enchiladas for supper.
Back to work today. I was kind of hoping for a snow day, but the major roads were pretty clear. That's okay, it's payday and MLK day, so we're not getting many phone calls! Pretty laid back around here.
